Requirements:

• At least a 2:1 bachelor’s degree.
• Passion for the learning of young children.
• Commitment to following safeguarding procedures.
• A natural ability to build strong bonds with children.
• Previous experience of working with children, or in a school setting, is beneficial but not essential.

 
The Role
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will provide 1-2-1 and small group support to EYFS children to ensure they are fully prepared for the start of their education journey. You will work alongside experienced staff in planning and delivering engaging lessons that focus on the development of pupils’ literacy, numeracy and social skills.

This ‘Good’ school, located just south of central Birmingham, is searching for an EYFS Teaching Assistant to add to their remarkable body of staff. The senior leadership team see the early development and teaching of children as a vital stage of their academic journey. For this reason, ongoing CPD opportunities are offered to EYFS staff to ensure that the quality of teaching and support remains high. The headteacher also recognises that beginning a job in education can be difficult and so an in-depth structure of support and mentoring is offered to new staff to aid as they settle into their new roles.
