Are you a Science ECT who’s searching for a supportive and welcoming school in which to successfully undertake your induction in your first permanent teaching role?
 
Could you use your passion for science to inspire and motivate under-achieving KS3 and KS4 students?

***£30,000 per annum
***Permanent- September 2024 start
***Teaching the GCSE science curriculum to KS3 and KS4 students.
***Completing your induction alongside an experienced and nurturing SLT.
 
 
Requirements:
  • At least a bachelor’s degree in a science-related field.
  • Completed- or completing a PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Strong knowledge of scientific concepts.
  • Ability to use your knowledge to aid the understanding of students.
  • A welcoming, friendly personality, with the natural ability to build strong bonds with students.
  • Clear, concise communication style and coherent spoken English.
  • Dedication to the education and wellbeing of secondary school students.
  • Commitment to following strict safeguarding policies.
 
The Role:
As a Science ECT, you will…
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that adhere to the national curriculum.
  • Assess classwork and provide constructive feedback.
  • Monitor student progress to identify any additional support needs.
  • Adapt learning materials to suit the needs of individual students.
  • Lead parents’ evening meetings.
  • Organise extra-curricular activities to extend students’ passion for science beyond the classroom.
