This ‘Good’ secondary school are looking for a dedicated and passionate STEM Academic Coach to their team for the 2024-2025 academic year. This role involves providing 1:1 and small group support to students in science and maths, helping them to achieve their full potential.
 
About the School: the school is rated 'Good' by Ofsted and is located in Northfield, Birmingham and they’re committed to providing high-quality education and support to our students, helping them to excel academically and personally.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Provide targeted academic support in science and maths to students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
  • Assist students in understanding complex concepts and solving problems in STEM subjects.
  • Develop and implement engaging and effective teaching strategies tailored to individual student needs.
  • Track and report on student progress, providing feedback to both students and teachers.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
 
Requirements:
  • A strong background in STEM subjects, particularly science and maths.
  • Previous experience in tutoring or academic coaching is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a passion for education.
