Are you a graduate with a 2:2 degree or above, looking for experience for the academic year 2024-2025?
 
Could you utilise your skills and help prepare Year 6 pupils for SATs examinations?

A highly regarded primary school in Birmingham is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate passionate about education and eager to make a positive impact on children's academic journey.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • 1:1 Support: Provide targeted one-to-one support to Year 6 pupils, helping them to achieve their full potential in preparation for their exams in May 2025.
  • Small Group Support: Facilitate small group sessions focusing on core subjects, offering personalised assistance to ensure comprehensive understanding and progress.
  • Exam Preparation: Assist pupils in developing effective study habits and exam techniques, ensuring they are well-prepared and confident for their upcoming exams.
  • Learning Enhancement: Implement engaging and interactive activities to reinforce learning objectives, supporting the class teacher in delivering high-quality education.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track and report on pupils’ progress, identifying areas for improvement and working collaboratively with teachers to address these.
  • Classroom Assistance: Provide general support within the classroom, including administrative tasks, preparing resources, and creating a positive learning environment.
 
Person Specification:
  • A recent graduate with a strong academic background.
  • Passionate about education and supporting children's learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive and adaptable, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Previous experience working with children, particularly in an educational setting, is desirable but not essential.
