Job Title:                          Primary Teaching Assistant
Location:                          Selly Oak, Birmingham
Pay:                                  £80 - £90 per day
Contract:                          Long term, September 2024 – July 2025                         
Focus:                              1:1 and small group intervention sessions in KS2

As part of their dedication to excellence, they are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant to join the dynamic team.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the class teachers to support the delivery of creative and engaging lessons that meet the diverse learning needs of our students.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who may require additional assistance in specific subjects or areas of development.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, fostering a love for learning and promoting positive behaviour amongst students.
  • Assist in planning and organizing educational activities and resources to enhance the learning experience.
  • Contribute to the assessment and tracking of student progress, providing valuable feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
  • Supervise students during break times and other school activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
 
Requirements:
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree.
  • Strong passion for working with primary school children and a commitment to their academic and personal growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding to meet the diverse needs of our students.
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational or voluntary capacity is desirable but not essential.
  • Enthusiasm to contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities.
